To get GPS to work: Used Hyperterminal (from XP) to start NMEA input on GPS Com: AT+CFUN=1 AT*E2GPSCTL=1,5,1 AT*E2GPSNPD you may have to turn GPS on using Minicard COM port (not the GPS COM port) GPS works well with OziExplorer and Global Mapper. Does not work with Garmin MobilePC even if pointed to GPS COM port manually. Hyperterminal, Ozi, Mapper all show NMEA input on GPS Com port.
